Cool-ology® owner and director Claudia is a Boston University graduate with a bachelor’s degree in both psychology and art history. She received her master’s degree in early childhood education from Southern Connecticut State University and is a Connecticut state certified teacher. She is a member of the National Science Teachers Association and the Connecticut Science Teachers Association.
Claudia taught second and fourth grades for ten years in North Branford, Connecticut. During that time she received the Teacher of the Year award for each of the schools in which she worked, and for the North Branford district. She took great joy in teaching over a thousand children during her tenure in North Branford. After her two children were born, she spent four years teaching preschoolers at Circle Nursery School in Madison, Connecticut.
As an Educational Consultant, Claudia worked with teachers and administrators in North Branford and New Haven- providing many workshops in science, writing, multicultural education, integrating literacy and more. Please ask about professional development opportunities.
Hands-on learning is Claudia’s passion. She was inspired to instill the joy of learning to all students by integrating the areas of science, engineering, math, social studies, technology and language arts in a new and exciting way.
